General advice:

The fastest way around the board is: dining room, kitchen, library, bedroom, crypt. This requires a total of 14 correct anagrams. Be sure to use the secret passage mentioned below.
There is a useful "secret passage" when you're standing in "the bedroom". From the left half of the room, move your mouse to the tile below to skip going back into the "the dining room".
Typing rehaxtint will get you an extra hint.
To get a trophy, you need to get around the board and collect all the items, and then go near [but not into] the crypt. Then, you need to go back and forth solving seven letter anagrams until you get the score you require.
If you're aiming for a trophy, be sure to check the current high scores.
The best time to aim for a trophy is just after the monthly high score reset, as the score required to get a highscore will obviously be at its lowest.
There's no need to ever step on a cracked tile.
If it's a seven letter word containing two 'x', the answer is xeroxed.
